What if I’m not sure my business is a social enterprise?

My business is not legally registered in Indonesia. Can I still apply?

My business doesn’t operate in one of the focus sectors. Can I still apply?

If your business is oriented towards social impact and contributes to creating opportunities for vulnerable communities, we still encourage you to apply. However, selection is case-by-case and will be based on a full evaluation of your application.e to apply.

What if my business doesn’t meet the minimum revenue criteria?

We have two revenue thresholds based on your business type: If your business doesn’t meet the minimum revenue criteria but demonstrates strong traction and potential to scale, you may still be considered on a case-by-case basis.

Can I apply if my business is not yet profitable?

Yes. We understand every business is at a different stage. If you have traction and a clear roadmap towards profitability, you’re welcome to apply.

Do I need previous experience with accelerators or incubators?

No, prior experience is not required. The key is having a strong business model, proven social impact, and a commitment to scale.

How is the support tailored to each business?

Each business will first go through an assessment to determine the specific needs for scaling and growth. Based on this, you’ll receive bespoke guidance from mentors and experts through one-on-one consultations, mentorship, and workshops in areas like impact measurement, financial planning, and market expansion.

What kind of financial support is available?

We offer financial support to help you strengthen your operations and scale your impact. This support is designed to meet your needs, whether that’s improving how your business runs or expanding your reach sustainably.

Will I gain access to IKEA’s networks and funding?

Yes. You will be connected to IKEA’s ecosystem, including social enterprises, corporate partners, and potential funders. This gives you access to new markets, collaborations, and additional funding opportunities that can accelerate your business growth.

What counts as “impact for vulnerable communities”?

We’re looking for businesses that are either already creating meaningful opportunities for vulnerable groups–such as low-income communities, women, rural populations, or people affected by climate challenges–, or businesses that are committed to transitioning towards creating such impact. This can be through employment, inclusion in supply chains, or direct benefits from your products or services.

What kind of businesses fall under Inclusive Nature-Based Solutions?

If you’re working with nature to drive both environmental and social outcomes, like regenerative agriculture or agroforestry, you’re likely a great fit. We support businesses that protect and restore ecosystems while also creating fair, lasting benefits for local communities, including improved livelihoods, food security, and economic resilience.

How long does the programme run, and what does the schedule look like?

The programme spans 12 months and includes key phases: Launchpad (onboarding and business diagnostics), Growth & Impact Hack (tailored support), and Show & Tell (final showcase). A detailed schedule will be provided once you are selected.

How much time do I need to commit?

Participation requires a significant commitment of time. You’ll be expected to actively engage in workshops, mentor sessions, and complete tasks throughout the programme. Time requirements will vary each week depending on the programme phase and your business needs, but we recommend planning accordingly to ensure you can get the most out of this opportunity.

Will accommodation and transportation for in-person activities be covered?

Yes, travel and accommodation expenses for required in-person activities will be fully covered by the programme.

What are the steps to apply?

Can more than one person from my business participate?

Yes, while at least one full-time Indonesian founder must be involved, other team members are welcome to join relevant sessions, especially where it supports your growth and collaboration.

Is the programme in-person or virtual?

The programme will combine in-person and virtual elements. Key sessions like the bootcamp and final showcase may be held in person (potentially in Jakarta), while mentorship and workshops may take place online for flexibility and accessibility.
